Our Vision
Shkodra is a region where the coexistence of people and wildlife is sustainable and productive.
The region has high diversity of territories and ecosystems which offer perfect conditions for many species using them as habitats in different phases of life.
Shkodra has high potential of natural resources which offer a great possibility for development of this area through sustainable solutions; it has considerable human resources that need to be involved for the protection of natural values.
Our mission will be achieved through different activities as raising public awareness, promotion of environmental problem solutions, realisation of concrete activities for improving ecological situations, encouraging state institutions for law implementation, collaboration and involvement of experts of specific fields, realisation of researches, studies and field works, increasing public participation in decision-making, promoting alternatives of sustainable economic development, etc.
Our Objectives
To raise awareness and sensitize the community for the preservation and protection of biodiversity and natural values in Shkodra region and throughout the territory of Albania.
To encourage sustainable solutions to environmental problems which have negative effects on the biodiversity of this region.
To promote and implement activities for the improvement of the environmental situation in Shkodra region.
To promote the responsible state institutions for the implementation of the laws that are in force for the protection of biodiversity and natural values in Shkodra region.
To cooperate and engage experts in the relevant fields for conducting studies on the biodiversity of ecosystems in this region.
To give opinions and raise awareness in cases of damage to biodiversity from various state and private activities.
To make the community aware of the most important ecological areas and educate them about the importance of their protection.
To encourage community participation in decision-making for different activities and projects, according to the actual legislation.
To carry out workshops, seminars, conferences, expeditions, trainings and various meetings for the recognition of the values of biodiversity in this area and the solutions to environmental problems in its protection.
EVSR members have a long experience in nature conservation field through realisations of different projects, scientific researches, publications, organisation and participations in different meetings, workshops, study tours and training courses. All this experience and knowledge of the experts of our organisation is a guarantee for the successful implementation of different projects and achieving our mission.
A very important aspect of our strategy is the collaboration with local and central government including municipalities, respective ministries, different regional directorates of state institutions, universities, research institutions, etc., to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of our activities.
EVSR being a non-profit organisation aims to realise activities by generating funds by different national and foreign donors, support by local and foreign businesses, projects by European Union and different foreign partners. Our NGO generate funds also by its members through their annual quotations.
